Steven Barron

Statement of Purpose

Hi, I'm Steven Barron and I'm from Baltimore, MD. I attended BT High School in Pikesville, a small Jewish Day School with a graduating class of around 80. I'm a huge sports fan- I played basketball and tennis since age 5 and through high school, as well as soccer and baseball before that. I also enjoy watching sports, such as the NFL, NBA, MLB, or college football and basketball. Both of my parents are also from the state of Maryland and attended UMD in the early 90's. 
Out of my scholars program and overall university experience, I want to build lasting relationships, have a good time,  and learn new things along the way. I think the Media scholars program is engineered well for me to do so, as the community is very supportive, inviting, and informative. I'm very interested in the realms of business, technology, media, and society/culture, so this program proves especially interesting to me.
